Noel Dimitrios Stavropoulos was born in Chicago, Illinois-USA in 1972. Never formally trained, the prodigy artist attended SACI (Studio Art Center International) in Firenze (1996-98) and studied with masters such as Jules Maidoff, Ron Bowen, and Paul Beel. He earned a scholarship to the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Nederland where he completed his five-year study (1998-2001) under the instruction of Selma Trapman. The young artist has made exhibitions all over the world, from Jaffa-Israel, Sparta-Greece, Firenze & Mantova-Italy, Hem, Hoorn, Sittard, Den Haag, Den Bosch, Amsterdam-Nederland, London-England, to (North America) Cherokee-North Carolina, Chicago-Illinois, Los Angeles-California, and Vancouver-Canada. He has created works in all mediums, fine art, performances, music videos and festivals, television shows, conceptual installations (The “Dream Machine” Series), award winning films, nightclub/gallery/movie set designs and construction.
